PRINCESS PROTECTION PROGRAM MOVIE

SUMMARY

    Princess Rosalinda Maria Montoya Fiore  is about to be crowned queen of the small nation of Costa Luna.  General Kane the dictator of neighboring country Costa Estrella, invades her palace with his agents during her coronation rehearsal she was saved by Joe Mason an agent for princess protection program. The Princess Protection Program hides Rosalinda in Mason’s home in Louisiana, where she is to masquerade as a typical American teenager named Rosie Gonzalez. She meets Mason's daughter, Carter Mason .Though Carter initially treats Rosie with barely masked hostility, she warms up to her after Rosie explains her situation, and the two become best friends. In an attempt to trick Rosalinda into exposing her location, General Kane announces false plans to marry her mother. Brooke discovers that Rosie is in fact Princess Rosalinda from a magazine she reads for Spanish class. She and Chelsea confront Rosalinda and threaten to expose her, but they agree to keep quiet if Rosalinda drops out of the vote for Homecoming Queen. Brooke and Chelsea also ruin their dresses for the dance. Rosalinda reads of the pending nuptials in the Brooke magazine and tells Carter that she has decided to return home. Knowing Costa Luna is still too dangerous, Carter secretly devises a plan to pose as Rosalinda and then use herself as bait to lure Kane into capture. During the Homecoming Queen Rosie win the queen title but at the same time carter being kidnap by Kane as carter disguise herself as Rosie. Rosalie discovers and ruins the plan by exposing herself to Kane, insisting that it is not Carter's fight. Fortunately, agents of the Princess Protection Program, including Mason, have been waiting inside the helicopter and rescue both girls.

Liddi-Brown received her B.A. in Drama and her M.F.A. in Directing from the University of California, Irvine, where she studied under Professor Keith Fowler. She made her television directorial debut on the first season of the Nickelodeon series, The Secret World of Alex Mack. She then went on to direct episodes for a number of notable television series namely, The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo, Xena: Warrior Princess,Beverly Hills, 90210, Star Trek: Voyager, Even Stevens, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, Chuck, Grey's Anatomy, Friday Night Lights and Gossip Girl among other series.^[1]

In 2010, Brown won the Directors Guild of America award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Children's Program for directing theDisney Channel original film Princess Protection Program starring Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato

PRODUCTION

Filming took place in Puerto Rico in 2008. School scenes as well as prom scenes were filmed at Colegio San José (San Juan, Puerto Rico) in San Juan and lake scenes were filmed at the Loíza Lake in Trujillo Alto. The Serrallés Castle in Ponce was used for interior and exterior castle scenes while the interior courtyard ofCasa de España in the Old San Juan was used for both coronation scenes.

 

 

 

CHARACTER

·         Demi Lovato ( Farahains Nadiah )



  is a young princess who is heir to the throne in a small country called Costa Luna. When she arrives to Louisiana to live with Carter Mason and Major Mason, she has trouble fitting in. She goes by her new name, "Rosie Gonzalez" and is guided by Major Mason's daughter, Carter to becoming just another American teenager in order to stay hidden. As the movie goes, "Rosie" and Carter puts aside their differences and become best friends. At the end of the film, Rosie returns home and was crowned queen of her country.

Carter Mason is the daughter of Joe Mason, an agent of the Princess Protection Program. She is played by Selena Gomez. Carter is an insecure girl who works at the local bait shop her dad owns.Carter is at first annoyed with her father . Carter when taking in Princess Rosalinda into their home, but lets that annoyance go when she gets to know Rosalinda, or now known to be Rosie. Carter teaches Rosie how to become a normal American teenager while she teaches her to become a princess. They become best friends and their friendship grows so much that she saves her from the people trying to kidnap her

     Jamie Chung( FATIN ) 

as Chelsea Barnes

is a popular,self centered, and bossy girl at her school who would do everything to become the Homecomming Queen. She a rival of Carter Mason and Rosie Gonzalez and best friend of Brooke Angels. Chelsea is played by Jamie Chung
at the end she and brooke are no longer friends after brooke realizes she's a jerk and she becomes kind, honest and nice

as Brooke

Brooke Angels is Chelsea Barnes's dim-witted sidekick, who doesn't get elected as a nominee of the crown queen. Brooke joins Chelsea in trying to sabotage Rosie from becoming popular and becoming Homecoming Queen. At the end, Brooke realizes that Chelsea is a jerk, even to her and is no longer her friend anymore. Brook is portrayed by Samantha Droke
